For five thousand years, the sender handed someone a sealed thing. The thing was the proof.

Software broke the envelope into seven separate services and handed you the job of coordinating them. A Drop restores the envelope: the wax is cryptography, the signet ring is the kernel, and the seal answers for itself when it arrives.
