Regulayer  /  Who requires a record

YOUR INSURER ALREADY ASKS FOR THIS

Your malpractice renewal asks you to describe your AI controls in writing

Where this stands today

AmTrust has carried an AI question on its lawyers' professional liability application since May 2023, and it is not a yes or no. Ticking the box triggers an attachment obligation on the new business form, and a written description on the renewal form. The same application also states that it is incorporated into the policy as if physically attached, which means a loose answer is not an embarrassment, it is a coverage problem.

The words that matter

"Allow the use of Artificial Intelligence software to draft documents. If checked, please attach description." (form LPLPRO-APP-01 0523) and "Does the firm allow for the use of Artificial Intelligence software to draft documents? If Yes, please describe." (renewal, LPLPRO-APP-02 0523)

What a record gives you

The description you attach is only as good as what stands behind it. Receipts give you a contemporaneous record of the checks that were run and who signed for them, verifiable by the carrier offline, with no access to a word of client work.

Regulayer makes the record. Software on your own machine that signs, at the moment you finish, which tool you declared, which checks you ran and who reviewed the work. Your client, your insurer or the court checks it in seconds, free, with no account and no access to a word of your file.
