The Regulayer Receipt
Prove what AI did and what the human reviewed.
The Regulayer Receipt creates a signed, independently verifiable record of AI use, human review and the decision made by the signer. The underlying work stays out of the record.
In August 2026, two federal courts sanctioned attorneys over unverified AI-assisted citations. One found that counsel “failed to conduct a reasonable human verification”, named three AI tools and referred counsel to the Grievance Committee; the other issued a public reprimand. Barteca v. The record no longer matches the signature. It cannot be passed off as the Receipt that M. Hale signed.
Anyone receiving the Receipt can run the same check independently, without Regulayer present. Verification confirms the record is signed and unchanged. To confirm who signed it, match the key to one you already hold for that person.
What a Receipt contains
Field by field.
See exactly what is recorded, what is not, and what another person can independently verify. The work itself is never in the record, only its fingerprint. That is what lets you send it to a judge, a client or an auditor without handing over the privileged work.

The work itself is never in the record, only its fingerprint.
Where it lives
On your machine, twice.
The record downloads to your computer like any file, and a sealed copy is chained into a local record on your machine, so a missing or altered entry shows. Your work never reaches our servers. Witnessed time sends only a fingerprint to an independent time authority. Best practice: keep it beside the matter file and send it with the work.
Three instruments
How the three instruments tell themselves apart.
Each record states on its face what kind of record it is, and the verifier enforces that kind. A seal cannot be presented as a record of review, and a record of review cannot be presented as an observed creation record.

Receipts accumulate into a record. When an organization needs one sealed memory of all of them, that is the Witness, licensed with the engine.
