Scope and rules
The ledger records announced and completed acquisitions of companies whose product is a control point for AI systems: identity and access, runtime authorization, guardrails, gateways, agent security and adjacent capabilities. A transaction enters when its announcement has been read at the acquirer’s or target’s own site. Consideration figures carry a tier, FILED, PRESS or LOI, defined on the method page, and a filed figure supersedes a press figure. The ledger publishes no valuation conclusion of any kind.

Dataset notes
- Filed supersedes press. In every case in this ledger where a filed figure has followed a press figure, the filed figure has been lower.
- Revenue. No acquirer in this ledger disclosed the target’s revenue in the reviewed announcements or filings.
- Search-window caveat. US patent applications generally publish about eighteen months after filing, so a young company’s filings can be invisible to any register search. An absence recorded here is the result of a dated search, not proof that no filing exists.
- Coverage. Further announced transactions in this category are in the research queue and enter the ledger when their primary records have been read.
What this ledger is not. It is not a comparables analysis, it prices nothing, and it draws no conclusion about any company, including its publisher. It records what acquirers announced and what their filings later recorded, so that any reader can weigh the category’s transaction evidence at the correct tier.
