What the statute requires, section by section

Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (Indonesia UU PDP / UU No. 27 Tahun 2022). Provisions addressed:

Art. 46: On a personal-data-protection failure, the Controller gives written notice within 3 x 24 hours (72 hours) to the affected data subject and to the agency, stating the data disclosed, when/how, and handling efforts.
Art. 35: Security of processing (appropriate technical measures).
Art. 31: Record (catatan) of personal-data processing activities.
Art. 53: Data Protection Officer (where required). Enacted/promulgated 17 October 2022; the Art. 74 transition period requires compliance within 2 years (by 17 October 2024).
